Workhorse
This 3-drop is quite sticky. A 4/2 body can be considered worth slightly less than 2 mana, considering we wouldn’t play a constructed minion with these stats and cost. A couple of 2/1’s are worth more than 1 mana, as Hearthstone decks have been consistently happy to play a couple of 1/1’s on turn 1 throughout the years.
So, Workhorse passes the pure stats test, but we’re not convinced it is constructed worthy. It would be a decent card for a Token Hunter deck, but we struggle to see it played in other strategies, or ones that don’t take advantage of its stickiness. Hearthstone decks usually don’t play “pure stats” cards that don’t immediately impact the board in some way.

Cash Cow
This card is just weird. Other than being a nice play on words, it doesn’t feel like a Hunter minion. A 5-mana 3/7 taunt is very slow, while the coins generated are mostly relevant for the class in trying to cheat out a big minion early. This means that we’re strictly looking at a slow deck, such as Reno Hunter, as a candidate to play it.
But even slower strategies probably pass on Cash Cow, because it’s so weak to removal. It should generally be a terrible card in slow matchups, and it doesn’t seem impressive in faster matchups either. We’re not moved.

Monkey Business
A deck that wants to utilize board buffs such as Monkey Business, should be one that floods the board early. Flooding the board early means we’re not saving up cards in hand, which makes Monkey Business unlikely to be impactful on curve. Filling our hand with Bananas doesn’t sound great either, as Bananas are an inefficient buff that can clog our hand. Bunch of Bananas saw some play thanks to its cheap cost and synergy with some cards, but Monkey Business does not compare.
Probably the worst Hunter card in this set.

Final Thoughts: Hunter’s set is strangely weak. We expect none of these cards to see play in the immediate term, unless Token Hunter is revived and plays Workhorse. It’s curious that Shaman is being given access to Hunter’s set through a new Tourist, yet none of the new Hunter cards have any synergy or appeal to Shaman (or Priest).
